Hartlepool United

Terrible result today 3-0 down now but wouldn’t say season over just yet - only 3 points from Play Offs with 16 games to go. Very unlikely but still plenty to play for.
Agree......But Halifax Town have a game in hand .....and two points above us, Southend United have 3 games in hand...a very long shot to make 7th and the play offs for Pools.......And even if by some miracle we do so, setting up and playing in hope for a nil nil draw every game isn't likely to get the Monkey Hangers far unfortunately.

Up the Pools!!! 😎

For the first 20 minutes we were all over them. Then we just seemed to ease off. No fight at all in the second half.

Featherstone needs to go now.

Watched the game, and didn't think Hartlepool were all over us at all 1st half, and neither did the commentators on Radio Tees, I was surprised how easy it was in the end, Pools looked like a team of strangers, it's great for us having a decent manager now and not Tommy Widdrington at the helm.
Good luck for the rest of the season 👍

Well he tricked me into going when I saw the team news, I genuinely (silly me), thought the penny has dropped and he's going for it today.... After 10 mins it was clear nothing was changing with the setup/tactics/intent it was dire. Clearly hoping to keep it tight for as long as possible then push on late. That backfired and he just went into panic mode with like for like changes (again) when it went to 0-2. Didn't bring a striker on until around the 75th minute. I left just as the 3rd goal went in. Featherstone and Dickman (both frauds) have absolutely killed the feel good factor about the takeover, they did that very quick. This is the worst brand of football I've seen at Pools in 33 years. He should do the decent thing and resign tonight and let someone have the rest of the season to plan then give it a go during the summer for next season. It's absolutely criminal how defensive minded we are, Reid isolated, he's got Miley so defensive it's unbelievable. Honestly just crap

Fev's post match interview. Completely hopeless. Im expecting him to be gone by Monday lunchtime.

His comments on bbc tees are worrying. Said the team isn't ready to play attacking football.... bonkers. The team is more than ready and capable......... The manager isn't and his setup will never ever be ready for attacking football. He needs to go. Crazy setup today he might as well have not changed anything with the lineup if that was his setup to keep playing for 0-0 and isolate Reid

That's what he said on BBC Tees. The team is more than ready, we've got some decent attacking minded players but when you play one up front and isolate the striker every week, it's always going to be problematic to score goals and he just can't see it. His interview is utterly depressing, he just needs to go. Yes he changed the lineup but it was the same setup/outlook. It won't improve with him in charge he only knows how to play one way.

If I hadn’t promised some people a lift home after the match I would have left at half time! Saw the team sheet beforehand & thought, great, he’s going for it, yeah right, same s@*#, different game, EVERY game! We have a fantastic opportunity thanks to Mr. Smith to get out of this league but this style of football is going to drive attendances down, not the diehards but the fans who WOULD come along to the Vic but won’t put up with what’s on offer week after week. I bet a more capable coach could turn this team into a more attractive team to watch. I’m sorry Nicky, great servant to the club, nice guy, but you’re not that coach. See you at York, PTID.

It's not difficult to set that team up to attack. Miley/Sinclair/Reid/Folarin are all attacking minded players and be absolutely crippled them yesterday, especially Miley who is dropping deeper and deeper every home game. I know some diehards who left at half time yesterday and many more were leaving throughout the second half. Two of my group didn't go, albeit under the weather I can guarantee had they been enjoying the football, they would have pushed themselves to attend yesterday. First time I've left early for donkeys years yesterday (obviously excluding when I have to leave early for ice hockey). Not even sure when the next home game is but I'm at the point now where I'm struggling to motivate myself to get to the home games it's that boring. Don't mind losing, don't mind poor football, it is the national league afterall, but what I do mind is a manager obsessively setting his team up every home game to play for 0-0 and isolate a striker playing 1 up front, it's absolutely rotten and inexcusable to watch. Next home game will be under 4000. He's absolutely killed all the feel good from the takeover. Dickman is an absolute joker as well as I said at the time of his appointment. Both need to go asap.

Seriously mate, I have a 3 hour round trip every home game (not trying to big myself up as a super fan), If I didn’t have a season ticket I would find it hard to motivate myself to make the trip. We’re Pools fans, we are used to defeat but the consistent poor football that’s played every game is unacceptable. It’s not all NF’s fault, the club has been ran so poorly for a number of years now. I hope the new owner is not relying on the old guard to help him make any decisions about the direction of the club going forward, if he is, get ready for more of the same, PTID.
