Harry Potter will be rebooted

So they would be re-creating the originals but likely would make them more serious and hopefully not have different directors doing each one.
Only 2 wasn't it? One guy did the first 2, then the next bloke did all the rest, including both Fantastic Beast films.

If disney owned it I think it would have been lined up by now.

With most of the story taking place through hogwarts it is perfect for a tv adaptation.
tbh, I wouldn't even call it "Harry Potter". Something more like "Hogwarts and All". ;-)

It'll be harry potter something... Harry Potter and the Hogwarts and All or summit

I always thought a high end tv production of batman would work as well. With so many villains it might work better than movies.

Only two WB properties I can think of right now.

Didn't know the middle two.

I knew Chris Columbus' daughter was Susan Bones, as she got screen time under the sorting hat, but was never seen again after Chris was replaced as director

Personally I just thought the story was pretty shit tbh.

The latter end of the Harry Potter series was winging it a bit like. I mean I still haven't had a super fan explain to me properly why everyone is pissing about with shite spells when avada kedabra should be being continuously said ad nauseum until everyone on one side is dead.

Doesn't that spell damage the soul?

Also:
  • As far as why those opposing Death Eaters (let's notionally call them Good People) didn't use it:
  • You need to be a strong magic user for AK to work. Fake-Moody explained that in GoF:
  • "Avada Kedavra's a curse that needs a powerful bit of magic behind it — you could all get your wands out and point them at me and say the words, and I doubt I'd get so much as a nosebleed."
and, AK takes time to cast, and doesn't land instantly like some others. Its like saying why don't boxers just go for the 1-shot knockout - because the opponent will dodge, and counter punch.

Prisoner of Azkaban is still probably the best, Alfonso Cuaron's direction made it.

IIRC if you kill something defenceless, yes it does. Or just killing something defenceless in general. Voldermort's soul was cursed when he/quirrel killed the unicorn.
Hang on...

(a quick Google later...)
"The blood of a unicorn will keep you alive, even if you are an inch from death, but at a terrible price. You have slain something so pure and defenceless to save yourself and you will have but a half life, a cursed life, from the moment the blood touches your lips"

So there we go. Isn't the imagination a remarkable thing

Oh right, well they need to make that clearer for us who didn't read the books.

I was just sat there thinking if the stakes are so high why are they constantly trying to just disarm their opponents.

The battle of hogwarts was pretty shit aswell... I don't know why it's just hogwarts either, it felt a bit low grade tbh... but I'm not expert on the matter.

I laughed at harry being the last horcrux, that was awful and the acting of the three main characters was terrible in every one tbf...

That's my "i would change" list.

Prisoner of azkhaban was my favourite. It was the most believable it didn't have any major plot holes and felt like it was realistic (not magic and stuff but the characters reacted to the stakes and situations as a normal person would have)
