Not as if it the opinion was based on a few weeks or even 6 months, then flash in the pan might have been apt.

Agreed, it's a really weird post

0.73 and 0.67 goals per 90 the two previous seasons.

Then he went on to score better than a goal every 90 in the season this thread was started

The thread was started after 3 PL games and an England game without a goal. I'd say if 4 games without scoring is particularly noticeable for a striker it probably proves they aren't a flash in the pan and are a world class striker as everybody else seemed to recognise

That is crackers and doesn't even look real. Don't get me wrong. I have sliced shots more than that in my youth with fly away balls, and had to collect the ball from the bushes but at the top level. That is class
