Harry Kane

Was his best game in this tournament for us tonight like
I thought that too to be honest.

It's the crucial moments that define a career though. Terrible penalty.
There was a through ball played towards the end of the first half towards the corner of the penalty area and he looked lumbering.
Is that when he held it up and we wound up passing back to our centre halves? I thought he did really well in that moment. The rest of them, I'm not so sure.

Lots of penalties and hat tricks against the likes of San Marino and Bulgaria. Same as Rooney as it happens. Last night are the moments that matter and he bottled it

He didn't bottle it, very much the opposite - he stepped up twice to take penalties against abloke who knows his technique inside out. He just fucked the second one up. Everyone misses the odd penalty.

I think it was more of a gesture run every time by Hendo, as in he didn't really want it given to him.

Agree with this.

I think that was the plan for Henderson to make the decoy runs, but Saka to use that to get more space to cut inside.

This is a perfect example of why Mbappe wasn't "useless" despite the rubbish posted on here about him. If he's not on the field, it's Walker making those runs which is an entirely different proposition.

Yeah I'm sure it must have been ridiculously stressful, wouldn't deny that. I'm just a bit miffed that a lot of people seem to want to blame southgate. I thought we more than matched the world champions. He needs his senior players to step up and putting away spot kicks has to be part of that. It's done anyway, will all be forgotten about once football returns to normal

Yeah, totally mate. Hendo was doing them overlaps as a decoy. French knew Saka wasn't going to release it.

I completely agree mate. I think Southgate has gone a cracking job and we outplayed the best side in the world for the most part

Hmm maybe. Ya'd still think at least trying to use the ball wide and Hendo getting a cross in would be worth a shot though.

Aye I know where you're coming from. The one time we committed Walker forward was when they broke and scored the first. After that we backed off from using Walker up the pitch.

100% mate. Agree.

Another dig. Yes, I know - soccer. To be fair, it was a pressure situation looking at the comments and we have another villain to blame now.

I'm more concerned about the refereeing as has been mentioned a million times.

I'm late to the party so to speak as it's taken me until today to get my head round the penalty and the refereeing.
