I sensed he would miss if we got one but that cleared away after he dispatched the first.. for me he is a very good player who cannot run away from a defender hence the dropping further and further back . for me , I'd dare bet his ankles are well and truly fecked now as he never looks 100%

Harry kane is supposed to be an elite level striker. To be elite you have to win things, it really is that simple
It’s been done to death a dozen times and more on this thread alone. Some very average players have honours to their names but you’d never class them as elite level players. Equally some top players don’t have significant honours to their name.

To get to be your country’s all time joint top scorer, in 40 fewer games than your fellow top scorer, puts you up there. If he was from Suddick you’d never hear the last of it on these boards.

Lots of penalties and hat tricks against the likes of San Marino and Bulgaria. Same as Rooney as it happens. Last night are the moments that matter and he bottled it

Kane is joint with Lineker whose credits include Turkey (twice), Malaysia, Poland and a friendly in Spain.
Below him is Charlton who netted 3 times in 3 friendlies and a qualifier against Luxembourg.
Kane’s have all been in qualifiers or at WC finals.
Top players have all “bottled” penalties at major events. We’ve seen Messi & Lewandoski just at this tournament. Obviously they’re not elite level players.

Greaves, Charlton etc all won things, they can score against who they like if they then go to win things. Harry kane will be remembered for being England's all time leading goal scorer. If he's happy with that as his lot then there's it's no surprise he's never won anything
