Harry Kane

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Personally, in that situation, I think it’s helping the keeper by keeping the same kicker.

I’d guess it wasn’t something discussed so everyone went with the flow.

I never said I’d take it off him. If he wants it, he has it. In the cold light of day, I think it’s better to change kickers for the second pen.
I’m guessing Lloris has probably already faced Kane taking penalties at least once or twice

Kane had a very good game today and he must be feeling awful tonight but glad he's in our side, anyone who gives him grief after tonight's performance dosnt deserve to be a football fan
He was excellent. Worked very hard and had little in the way of support. Our best defender from set pieces also, was always back winning headers. Drops far too deep trying to get the ball but that is down to the tactics

Mate, if I'm earning 200k a week, I'm burying penalties all day! I'm a fat bricklayer from jarra, and if you give me the chance of taking that penalty, I'm tucking mate, you can have the French behind the goal waving their customary white flags to put me off, but I'm at least hitting the target mind! And if I know the keeper, even easier!

Every time, without fail, and to scale it up, I'm not on 200k a year, never mind every week, if it's your job, you've just been sacked!
You’re not, it’s a totally different level and you’re also not hitting the inside of the post every time. Unless you are absolutely rolling the ball in at a snails pace

Exactly as he does for Spurs of course. I agree he was god tonight but his team mates created two penalties for him and a one on one with the keeper and a situation where he could well have had a penalty. You aren’t going to get much more than that against the world champions.

Same way they always spot the ball themselves. There’s certain basis.

Not by definition at all.

surprised you weren’t on the plane.

Where’s Jarra btw? Sounds Australia. Or is it Jarrow as in the Jarrow March?

Yes but there’s plenty let the keeper go then put it the other side or down the middle.

Or hit the post.

It would be better. Maybe down to a great save then. You think its acceptable englands number 1 striker and who some say is one of best strikers puts that nearly 3 feet over the bar?

It’s the World Cup quarter final and a goal to make him Englands all time record goal scorer.

Gary Lineker missed to equal Bobby Charltons goal scoring record with a lot less pressure.

It’s not like he hasn’t missed before, I can forgive him.

Imagine if he’d bottled taking it, somebody else did and missed he’d be getting so much stick.

Without wishing to "diss" Harry Kane, he seems to want to play as a midfielder more than half the time.
He does well in that dropping deep role, admittedly, but he spends too much time there IMO, he's the centre forward FFS
