Harry Kane

Lucky timing most definitely as they were on the slide after selling Bale as they had little cash and a load of average players. His goals got them back into the CL places.

One season(2013/14) between Bale leaving and Kane having a 20+ season. Most of the Bale money was wasted (Eriksen and, to a degree, Lamela aside) but, with minimal money in 2014/15, with Pocchetino in charge, they signed Dier and Alli for 9 million quid in total.

Got to love the ill informed drivel that some post on here, like you and the Everton fan for starters “Spurs didn’t have any cash”. “Spurs spent 9m in total” fact is Spurs have been spending £40/50m plus a year on their new stadium for many years now but they still post end of year profits year after year, Oh and Spurs actually spent £40m plus on players in 2014/15 but don’t let that get in the way of your argument will you mate.

I'm trying to praise your club here, Jesus! Show some humility, you embittered cock knob. You spent 40 million if you include the Davies/Sigurdsson swap and 15 million or so of that was shockingly bad (Fazio, Yedlin, Stambouli) but 9 million was brilliantly spent. Since then, a lot of your spending has been superb. I like Spurs, would much prefer you winning the league as compared to the other top 6 clubs but, with supporters like you, I could start to change my mind...

Fair enough mate but I am not a mind reader, I took your post at face value which was factually incorrect, and I will add that when Spurs do waste money most of it is usually recouped due to Daniel Levy and his special negotiating skills. :D

That does seem to happen. Selling Wimmer for £18 million was magnificent business (not that he was particularly poor for you when he got a chance).

Just looked at their spend 2013/14 onwards. £418 million which is more than expected given the image of building a side carefully & with prudence. Arsenal in the same period for example have spent £355 million.

Said to my mate whos a Spurs fan if they fail to win anything in the next 2-3 seasons and lose the likes of Rose, Alderwerld, Ali etc. They'll be kicking themselves with the current side they have.

Unless your the 2 manchester clubs and Chelsea must be hard having a good side but realistically fuck all chance of winning the league. Dont think theirs ever been a time in English football where the "top" clubs are divided into 2 groups with one realistically having little chance of winning the title bar an overachieving season.

Man City
Man Utd
Chelsea

Then

Spurs
Arsenal
Liverpool

Even in recent years of the traditional PL top 4 (Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and the Kopites) atleast 3 of those 4 had a very real chance of winning the title in any given season.

Man Utd & Arsenal were the league champions 9 years on the trot between them.

Essex yid is a reet f***ing bellend like isnt he :lol::lol::lol:

Absolutely loves telling sunderland fans how big spurs are cos all the decent sides stick it reet up them

Not really a fair comparison if he shows some ambition and goes abroad, unlike Shearer.

Dont remember Shearer having the opportunity to go abroad. Were any of the top Spanish or Italian clubs linked with him? Think the same will apply to Kane. The 2 Spanish sides dont traditionally seek out English centre forwards no matter how they score -and the ones who went like Owen & Lineker ended up squad players. Italian clubs arent in the same market as the two Manchester clubs or Chelsea.

He's given loads of interviews saying he had the chance to go abroad but that it never interested him. Assuming he is telling the truth of course.
