Harry Gardiner in from South Shields

We seem to be bringing in a few young players either permanently or on trial, which is good. Who is doing the recruitment as I thought we had virtually nobody in that department? Not sarcasm, just asking.

Watched this lad grow up. Outstanding talent and kid.
As good as Shola Shoretire when he was a junior.
He was that kid where others would pass to him expecting a bit of magic and a goal.
Very unselfish as well. Loved a team goal as much as many of the individually brilliant goals he scored.
I think he had a few offers as a youngen but his dad wanted the right club and for him to play as much football as possible.
As the lads turned from kids to men he probably wasn't as physical as some of them. Had a few bad injuries towards the end of school.

Brilliant feet and touch. Actually had really good hold up play considering his size.

If he continues to develop physically he has more than enough talent to make it.

He's extremely dedicated and has really nice parents who have always kept him grounded.
Probably took the best route through junior football without being in an academy.
He's had some really good coaches, played loads of football at a very good level and won loads of trophies.
But always seemed to stay hungry for more.

Class post. Good luck to the lad.

Captaining the U18s at the moment. Hope this is a lad who we can fast track - and most importantly keep hold of!
His age group have had some exceptional talent.
Shola, Hugill and Pye at Man utd.
Josh Barnett who left Sunderland and is at Carlisle.
Declan Bisset who I think was at Sunderland. Great to watch.
James Harrison I think went to Blackpool.
Lewis Connolly at Morecombe.

Would make a canny U18s if we had these lads. Some would probably make the first team.

Sounds like he's got a similar attitude to Jordan Henderson.

Hopefully he gets his chance tomorrow to fulfil his dream to run out at the SOL for the U21’s against Leeds.
