Does anyone think he could end up as capable with both bat & ball in coming years at test level.
Bowled well today I thought.

For England it must’ve been less than 20? He was never a serious consideration as an all rounder at test level which I assumed we were talking about. I don’t see Brook having a county level career with his batting ability the way the game is now.

He was brought up in the League I played in. His g/father was a leftarm fast bowler and very good: his 2 uncles were not as fast but very accurate and could be very nasty. He was steady and swung it but no pace. He did not bowl well today but can still improve.

It was club level change bowler stuff I’d say. But, as is said every week in village and club cricket up and down the country, ‘shite gets wickets’. Nee issue with chucking someone the ball like that every now and again.

It does. Botham was a great fast and swing bowler but he got loads out with rank bad deliveries
 
He's fairly accurate in delivery tbf but doesn't do owt with the ball. He's an insanely naturally gifted batsman so doesn't have to work too much on those skills, perhaps he can spend an hour or two practising to become the next Derek Underwood.
 
I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone look like they’re running so slow. I honestly reckon he was going my walking speed but he was at full pelt.

Was canny though, got the ball moving but that might have just been the wind.
