For a supposed shy lad, he never shuts up when he's working for SKY

Mag but decent pundit
Never minded the lad but yeah he's fairly decent if you discount his Geordie accent.
It's one of them "I'm Geordie but want to sound posh accents". Very much like Steve Bruce
Someone said that he still plays for Durham CCC. Is that true?

He is under contract to the club so I don't understand why he isn't in training with the rest of the lads.
Hunch back of ashington does talk some sense
To be fair,he only appeared on Sky last night I think,Alex Stewart partnered Colly certainly for the 1st few days of the match so he may well have been training with Durham during the week-he implies in his Sunday Sun column that he was. How much work he's put into the training is a different matter.
Wonder if he accompanied Colly to QPR?

Agree with most things said about Harmy but what about the skipper who is in the studio with him. He seems to have spent the winter travelling the world doing commentary. Then when the squad are about to return for the final months preparation for the new season he requires surgery on an injury. The club has not stated that this is a fresh injury and it looks like they have seen a window 6 weeks before the start of the season to get it sorted.
Colly is also on a massive salary for county cricket and had a very ordinary season last year with the bat and hardly bowls apart from a few overs in one day cricket.
Totally agree. Should of had the surgery at the end of the season. However don't know if its an old injury or a new one. Difference is Colly still has a lot to offer with a HEART to try for DCCC. Would certainly question that with Harmy. As captain Colly has to lead from the front and show the developing players how its done. Just like Benks has done for a number of years. Big season for Colly as far as County Cricket is concerned but I think he'll take the challenge on (certainly hope so) or we may well be relegated.

In hindsight if that had happened we would have gone down last year. His captaincy and influence kept us up IMHO.I hope you are right about Colly being up for the challenge. Would liked to have seen him at Durham all winter planning his first season as captain. Iam sure that would have been a massive boost to the players on the fringes and in the academy hoping to catch the captains eye.
To me it looks like both have got their eye on possible futures in the media. Personally i thought it was a mistake to give Harmy a 4 year deal ( i know iam not the only one there) but also would have allowed Colly to go to Derby when they where in for him after he got the chop by England.
