I doubt that there is much they can do about the SH situation. It is rumoured that the club has tried once or twice to get Harmison to go but he has a contract and if he digs his heels in then there is little the club can do.

Personally I think that Cook is a cracking bloke. Very deep and fairly quiet but obviously extremely knowledgeable about the game. the bit about feeding the bowling machine to the kids is typical of him. He watches kids right from U11 level onwards which tells you all you need to know about his love of the club.
 
I've no doubt that Cook is a great bloke but I believe our Championship wins came off the back of Moxon's hard work. For me it was the team that Moxon built that brought about our success. Cook just kept the momentum going - that's not to say that Cook didn't do good work to ensure we kept on going forward on the right track. I just think Moxon laid the foundations.

Plus, Cook hasn't been properly backed by the management with regards to funding for players.

What I'm getting at is I think Cook could certainly lead us to more glory - but for me the past glories were hugely helped by Moxon's work.

How would Harmison know? He's rarely at the ground.

If Harmison had the "utmost respect" then he would try a lot harder and get involved more.

Played under him for many years and won two County Championships under him.

Harmison gets some stick on here, rightly or wrongly, but he's here for the season it seems and an on fire Steve Harmison is better than the lot (apart from Onions)

All imo of course.

Problem is his fire is truly and utterly out!!! If he respects Geoff Cook as much as he claims he'd of left us 2 years ago. Highest paid player in County Cricket he has not performed or in my opinion tried for the last 2 season. Absolute joke him saying he will do it this season. A bigger disgrace is his Benifit Year. As a Life Member I wouldn't even piss in his pot never mind put something towards his benefit.
