He' thereHappy Birthday Captian!
Where is he now?
(Clue: He's here.......)
I love the goal celebrations. Arms in the air and big smile. None of this modern day crap.
Remember his debut. Missed his late winner against Man City but saw the goal on Shoot the following day
He broke it again shortly afterwards IIRCWhen was that? Remember him breaking his leg - 50+ years ago Fulwell End/Main stand (then again he might have just been pole-axed)
Sat new years eve 66. The leg break against Leeds ( fa cup r5 1967 ) was as you remember in front of the main stand. I did not go to this game but there is footage from the internet with Kenneth Wolstenholme commentating for MOTD. That game may well gave been the first time we featured on MOTD at RoketWhen was that? Remember him breaking his leg - 50+ years ago Fulwell End/Main stand (then again he might have just been pole-axed)
How mentally strong was he to come back from 2 broken legs man ??Bobby Kerr man, great player and It makes you think how he would have fared without those injuries. Still a very friendly bloke, had a bit crack with him before the gillingham game.
