Gutted it's over

Think of how gutted we'd all feel now if Chelsea had equalised. It'd be the longest summer of all time (and not in a good way).
I know we'd have missed out on all this excitement but I'd like to think we'd still be reflecting on a fantastic season (finishing 11th, and still above the mags, which would have been very respectable regardless). Bonkers to think that one goal from Chelsea would have dropped us 4 places and out of Europe mind, but no need to worry about that now .

Anyone else on a bit of a downer now the season's finished?

What a season this has been man. Absolutely tremendous. It's been an absolute joy start to finish.
I would have been when I was younger.

I’ve lived every second, but it’s nice not to have a weekend dominated by football for a few months. Even away matches I’m not at, the weekend is planned around watching it on the telly.

Enjoy the free weekends & get excited when it all starts off again.

Hands down. Top to bottom. This is the best shape the club's ever been in.

An ambitious young owner, football daft, with loadsa money. ✅
A driven, professional, football-centric hierarchy. ✅
A cool, calm, calculated head coach. ✅
Some of the best players we've ever had. Ever. ✅
A tight-knit dressing room with a connection to the fans. ✅
A well run commercial department.✅
Absolutely first rate social media campaigns. ✅
Improvements to the ground & infrastructure. ✅

Someone pinch me in case I wake up.
Great post

Only a few years ago I was pretty much resigned to us never being competitive in the top league again in my lifetime

It’s been such an amazing journey.

Excited to see what happens next

Best season in my life time. Best team in my lifetime.

I hope this is just the beginning of more.

Xhaka was the missing piece we always needed. He made it all work.
Yeah mine too- I mean it's the equal of our best finishes since 1955. And our second ever qualification for Europe. I don't think it's really sunk in yet.
Whatever happened to Bolton and Burtion Albion?

Bolton and Burton were like Wembley compared to Gillingham and Bristol Rovers.

It's only just begun.

It's class man. Like seeing a mint film then waiting for the sequel or the next effort by the director, but a million times better as it's so unpredictable.

And the build up to Sunday was almost as good as the few hours itself. Chasing the buzz is as good as the actual buzz of the event. And we now have a summer of anticipation. Gerrin.
