Hi

For those of us who have a 360 Slim, GTA5 requires at least 8GB of free space

see [Grand Theft Auto V is the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar Games has yet created, and takes full advantage of every ounce of processing power available in the current generation of consoles. In order to provide the best possible experience for such a massive and detailed world, the game will have installation requirements on the Xbox 360.

Grand Theft Auto V will ship on two discs; Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game. After the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without any need to switch discs.

This initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive (sold separately) with at least 8 GB of free space. If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance.]

so, my question is this

- do I opt for a 32gb USB memory stick, or go for a 120/250gb hard-drive. How hard are these to fit into the Xbox, and am I likely to fook me 360 up in the process?

Any links to either would be good!

If you have the Xbox slim then there's a panel on the left side towards the back (looks like vents) that has a catch on it. Easy to install but you do need one specifically for an Xbox, really can't mess it up. The prices over here range from about $35 for a 3rd party hard drive to $100 for a Microsoft one..... Depending on how much you use your Xbox you should be able to get a 120gb one pretty cheap (amazon does them over here, not sure about over there)[DOUBLEPOST=1379052192][/DOUBLEPOST]The panel is on the right..... In a useless bugger sometimes

Grand Theft Auto V ships on one disc and will install content as soon as you insert the game. The install is roughly 8GB, and players will be able to play as soon as the install is complete.

anyone using a 3rd party HD for their Xbox Slim 4gb? Amazon reviews aren't bad.. but someone says stick to official MS one?

Only need 250gb max so kinda wanting 3rd party one

EDIT: Fuck it.. 250gb HD for £35 inc First Class PnP.. here for Tues :) Only the 1 recommendation saying use Official, plenty of positive for 3rd party

as long as it fits in it should be good to go, though when i used my xbox i did back up my saves to a USB pen twice a week, with the cloud it is less necessary but id still do it as a safety option once a week as im a bit of a paranoid mess when it comes to losing progress.
