Ground Preperation for the new season

Grass needs approx. 9hrs of sun per day and 9 degrees.

When they seeded the pitch "normally" would have seen at least a month for the grass germinate and grow. We got a cold wet snap as soon as they seeded the pitch and as a result a lot of the seed would have rotted in the ground.

Average temperatures for March are "normally" 12 degrees. At the minute and for most of the month its been just above freezing.

The second we get warm dry weather that pitch will shoot but doesnt stand a chance of being ready until about July, at a guess.

Same here strangely looking forward to having a go at cutting the outfield :oops:
