He’s f***ing shit man, it isn’t a confidence thing, he doesn’t want to be here and clearly can’t be arsedHe’s clearly low on confidence. Let’s get behind the lad. What’s to lose doing that anyway? Let’s support him

Well narn brand of tuthbrushes, marra. There's always been that suspicion that he was Donald's indulgence, although, in fairness, Ross has suggested he was delighted to have him. That's arl subject to memory cloth wearing a bit threadbare!I wonder if anyone asked him if he wanted to come here. If so and he said he wanted the move then ultimately he deserves everything he’s getting just now. Only he can turn it around. IMO he looks scared to death, maybe he’s thinking everything I do is wrong so I’m not going to do anything? You can’t make mistakes if you don’t do anything. Someone needs to get into the lads lug and find out what’s going on with him as he can’t continue like this.
From the Don interview...looks like the management team thought we were overpaying for him. The apparent lack of effort however is the things that gets most people. The official line is he is desperate to do well. He could have got a lot of supporter good will if yesterday he had hared around like a madman closing people down when Portsmouth were pressing.
I'm still in the camp that believes giving players stick while the match is on is a no no. All we do is undermine the team. We have to hope he eventually comes good but I agree it his demeanour doesn't look right
As I have said a few times Sunderland fans will forgive a lot if they see a player put the effort in. He didnt do that yesterday in the few minutes he played. Disapointing. From the Don interview...looks like the management team thought we were overpaying for him. The apparent lack of effort however is the things that gets most people. I just don’t believe “he doesn’t want to be here”. Why not? What reason would he have for not giving a shit?
We know he can score goals in the league, let’s hope we can get him to rediscover it. We need him firing.
Agree he needs to do more mind, but getting behind him can only help. I’m not writing him off yet
The new Terry Curran... do yourself a favour.
92 minutes, you're fresh on and Portsmouth are passing it along their back line.
So you're strolling between them with no urgency when we're defending a slender lead.
Your manager has put his neck on the block by defending you, including you and putting you on the pitch.
And the supporters clapped you onto the pitch which, on recent displays, you've barely deserved.
If you don't want to be here just spit it out and we can have you gone in January.

That's very nicely put marraAs I have said a few times Sunderland fans will forgive a lot if they see a player put the effort in. He didnt do that yesterday in the few minutes he played. Disapointing.
Not sure that is still the case. A world beater in Div 3 seems to be expected by many on the SMB.As I have said a few times Sunderland fans will forgive a lot if they see a player put the effort in.
He won't like. No way anybody is going to pay us the same sort of money we paid. We just have to hope he comes good here.I agree. Probably at the biggest club he’s likely to be at and earning the most he’s ever earnt.
He just isn’t very good, we’ve over paid and another mistake
He’ll soon be off.
Thank fuck for thatHe was spotted having breakfast alone in the Hilton next to the ground prior to the Oxford match. He’s been here several months now, it kind of suggests to me that he’s not looking to stay here permanently.
He’s clearly low on confidence. Let’s get behind the lad. What’s to lose doing that anyway? Let’s support him

if anyone wants a positive from Grigg's performances then I think we can be fairly confident that we'll never have to fork out the entire fee for him. I can't think of a single performance/success related bonus that Grigg is on course to earn.
