Greenwood's future

Mourinho also wants him at Roma according to rumours.
Wonder if United are just going to terminate his contract or let him go on a free with (probably) a huge sell-on clause?
Money talks with the Glazers so I reckon there will be a big sell-on clause.
Yes they might want to recoup some of the money they’ve invested in him.

No he isn't.

My point isn't about the Mags being taken over, it's about double standards & if Sunderland were taken over an oil rich state with abhorrent human rights records, the majority of our fans would happily go along with it.
Dont speak for me please, you’re talking about the Saudi state that have literally just gunned down men women and children fleeing from war?

….. like many people i would stop supporting Sunderland if we were taken over by scum like this.

I like to think that, with those mutants up the road reveling in being owned by murderers, that our fans wouldn't stand for it.

Football is about escapism for me. As soon as you're a state owned sportwashing tool, that barrier gets broken down. Geo-political issues become front and centre of any footballing debate. Every press conference is full of questions about it.

It would be the worst thing that could possibly happen to the club. I would stop supporting them immediately.

I'd hope that Sunderland fans would gather in the streets and prevent it from happening, just like Chelsea did with the super league.

Me too, hand on heart I would stop going.

To be honest, it's getting harder and harder and less enjoyable every season anyway. It's a good job we are playing well the last couple of years.

If it wasn't for the big group I go with, and getting to see the bairns every other week, it wouldn't have that much appeal

This is one of the reasons I find it baffling that so many fans are desperate to get promoted back to the PL asap.

Why? There's fuck all a club like ours can realistically achieve in that league. Best case scenario, a good cup run and maybe finishing 8th-7th. We'd more than likely get battered by Newcastle every time we played. Don't get me wrong, I do want to get back to the PL eventually, but I don't get the urgency or the entitlement.

Lets just enjoy being an exciting young Championship team for a while shall we?

I'll enjoy the journey more than the destination.

I'm a bit desensitized to it all now i think. It used to be the focal point of my entire life at times, but now I just enjoy match days, I enjoy watching us on the Tele, but I don't really get too worked up about signings and players and particular matches and our league position and form etc. .....

Us being taken over by Saudi Arabia would just be the final nail

Where you read this?
Read it on the Manchester Evening News Site but just realised it was linking to a Daily Mail article so maybe bollocks.

Ten Hag 'was in favour' of Greenwood's return

It counts for nothing now, but Erik ten Hag was reportedly in favour of Mason Greenwood returning to the United squad.

claims the United manager had reached out to the forward and even tasked the analysis department with deciding how best to use Greenwood should he return, given the change in playing style and personnel since his last appearance.

Nah, would rather be an exciting young premier league team
