Greek Island Holiday Help

Have just been looking at that with Jet2, what’s the beaches/nightlife like?
We enjoyed Argassi a couple of years ago, only downside was an extreme heatwave scuppered any plans we had for trips and even just seeing more of the area other than to venture out at evenings for a meal and mooch. During the day it was so hot (mid 40s) that we couldn’t be arsed to do anything except be by the pool. Loved Argassi though and would happily go back. We had a child with us so nightlife wasn’t on our agenda, but there were loads of genuinely good restaurants and it seemed to have a nice coast, though we didn’t bother actually going on the beach.

Music to my ears marra. Whats the food like? I imagine grilled fish etc will be top notch.
We went to Greece for the first time last year, largely based off recommendations from the lads and lasses on here, and bloody loved it. The food was almost without exception, fantastic. The only place we found that was not quite as good as the other tavernas etc we tried, was the one that was most highly rated in the YouTube influencer type videos we watched prior to travelling. Under The Pine Tree, that was it, in Skiathos. It was still good, but I think they were starting to believe their own hype to a degree!

We ate loads of grilled / fried fish, and lamb, and I really got stuck into the Stifado out there, a beef stew type thing which you'd think would be a bit heavy for a hot Summer night, but it was lush.

Yes,lovely island and no idiots of any nationality there

Apart from the hordes of Aussies.
Anyone been to Naxos? Booked a week there in August with the family. Never been to Greece before. Looking forward to it.

Where are you staying?

Naxos Town is busy and has a very lively nightlife closer to the front. Some of the winding old streets are nice, with some good food to be found. Also an assortment of kebab places too. Beach is cracking and really shallow if you have kids.

We should have hired a car and seen more of it. Not what we expected, so only ourselves to blame and then we had to have a night in Fira on Santorni on the way back.

Aye, 2 little ones who will love the shallow sea. We're stopping just outside Vivlos. Closest beach is Plaka. Definitely going to hire a car. Love just driving all over finding random places to eat.

We're going pescatarian for the week seen as there's not much Halal outside Athens. I've heard the grilled fish and calamari are on point.

Was in Corfu town yesterday and heard more Geordie accents than a Sunday for Sammy gig. None in fancy dress though
Always go for a swim by the old fortress, it's called faliraki beach but it isn't really a beach, just steps into the water, amazing place to swim.
