Greek Island Holiday Help

Lassi in 2 weeks, be bussing to Argostoli, don't drive abroad, like a few beers!
Best restaurants in Lassi we found were Pso Psito (best sunset), Tzogias tavern, Phaedra. Good bar shout outs to Logos grand view, So simple, Trentis and a cheap beer at Irilena hotel. In Argostoli, for food, The tsimboloi, Hidden garden, The mansion and an Eza or six at Baroque le bistrot.

Sidari in Corfu in couple of weeks. Looks like the Las Americas of Greece. Only going to Corfu so I can go to Albania for the day. Only one northern Med country left to visit (Montenegro).

Two England WC games while I'm there, both 11pm ko local time. Be a late riser the next day.

I’m in Skiathos town next week. I’ve had some great times watching England on the old harbour but just can’t get interested in this World Cup. I’m told there’s only 3 fingerprint machines in the airport 😳 hope they don’t start using them till later on in the year.

Off to Kardamena, Kos in two weeks. Love the Stone roses bar. Plenty of good restaurants as well. Lassi in Kefalonia for september again. Nice strip of restaurants and the capital argostoli is 5mins drive (20 walking). Hidden garden restaurant and a walk along the marina and over the bridge. Plenty to see and do including Assos, Fiskardo and Ithica (which is bound to become a tourist trap after The Odyssey comes out). Favourite lager in both places is Eza. Hard to get even out there on both islands.
Off there in 3 weeks, was there about 3 years ago, hope it hasn’t changed much.

Our holiday this year has been postponed till late September so toward the end of the Greek hols season I think. Anyone travelled at a similar time got any recommendations? Last year we went to Skiathos and with some help / advice from @T_Bone we had a magnificent time in Muses Hotel in Koukounnaries. I fancy Rhodes this time or Kefalonia but open to suggestions from the mighty SMB.

Kefalonia in sept is when we normally go. Very warm but not overbearing.

Went to Argassi in Zante a few years ago, great little resort.

Konis Hotel in Skala, Kefalonia is very nice. It’s on the beach with an infinity pool. It’s self catering or b and b. Nice small bar. It used to be known as The Anassa Hotel.
At the other end of the scale, we went to Nana Beach resort, just outside Stalis, Crete a couple of Septembers ago. It’s big, impressive, has a man made beach lovely rooms but it should have its 5 star. Never gets a bad review. It’s all inclusive but the villages of Old Hersonissos and Koutouloufaris are only a 10 euro taxi ride away and both have great tavernas.

We stopped at Nana Beach about 11 years ago, was excellent and looks like it's got even better over the years. We're off to Koutouloufari in August, 3rd time in 7 years up there and Piskapiano, fantastic place.

Thats where i booked, get some tips hoyed up when you back mate

Depending where in Lassi your staying it's not too far to walk over to argostoli, there's regular buses or a taxi I think was 5 or 6 euro depending where it picks you up. We did 3 consecutive years in lassi, loved it, found a great apartment we went back to each time and there's no shortage of good places to eat, personally I loved Butlers House, then a few doors along to the bar 1 "disco bar" to "throw shapes". We always rent a scooter/bike and get around as much as possible, Assos, Fiskardo, Sami/Antisamos all beautiful and worth striking out too if you can. I took the scooter one day to the top of Mount Ainos (5000) feet, incredible views. Only negative was the choice of beach bars was reduced over the time we were going, due to stricter local regs, meaning the few that were left became more expensive. Great place to holiday tho, plenty of variety but never feels too big.
Corfu for us first week in September, staying in Agios Stefanos on the NW coast .
Same for us in September but further south in Agios Gordios. Have stayed in both Stefanos and Arrilas previously, both really nice and relaxing, great beaches, Stefanos has a little more going on. When staying there we used to walk over the hill to Arrilas for breakfast some mornings. Well probably call on there in September when out and about, nice to revisit places you've previously enjoyed.

Have just been looking at that with Jet2, what’s the beaches/nightlife like?

Beaches are canny. There's a pool/restaurant place just back from the beach called Skyfall which we went to for a few days. The loungers are free if you eat and drink there. Lass running it was sound. Nightlife is canny, bit for everyone. Sports bar, couple of entertainment bars, and some canny restaurants (best was called Zinc which you have to book). If you want really lively Laganas is a €15 taxi away.
