Not even inches mate. These deviants will latch onto the first thing that gets them attention. The subject matter is just a vehicle for it.

there’s plenty of other abuse, social media is the pits that gives little ***** nothing better to do, remember someone years ago mocking the death of billy sharps son who was sadly 2 days old 😢. f***ing sickos man. If this is going to stop for good identification needs brought in to open an account.

Seems to be more in DM's on instagram than openly on posts. Fair few tennis players have shared images showing the abuse and death threats they get when they lose a match from people who've had a bet on them. Then when someone who's black happens to lose a match, you can guess what extra words are thrown in the threats.

Would be more than happy. Sad it has to come to this but its the only way of accountability.

This is where the chat is on BFC fan forum. Have a read. It suggests a bot and also that iG deleted the account, but after looking at the account closer, it showed that it followed some dodgy stuff and mostly accounst in Asia. Presumably not accounts with English biographys. One Pool fan 100% not a Sunderland fan. There had just been a couple wondering due to playing and beating us. There was one guy pointing out we have no black players. Not sure why he thinks that means anything :/
Ive also rang my mate who chairman of teh Blackpool Supporters Trust, and he said he would look into it as best as possible. He may not know the posters in question on AVFTTT though.

I would disable comments on everyone’s posts, it would stop the problem straight away. Yes it takes away debate but also stops these comments.

For a multitude of reasons you should have to provide photo ID when signing up for a Twitter / Instagram / Tiktok. Fair enough remain anonymous but there needs to be an easy way to identify people being *****.

SM firms wont do it because that is biting the hand that feeds them, and the police either dont care or dont have time.
