Graham Thorpe - RIP

What a player Thorpe was.
A player of finesse, a 90s man, a class act of a cricketer, brilliant in the sub continent when it was tough.
Sad news, no age..

Terribly sad news, so many memories of watching England batting collapses and Thorpe being the one batter propping us up and holding it together.
One of Englands greatest middle order batters.

What a great player he was. By far and away England’s best batsman for years, he was a stylish and dependable player, with a very good average in some poor teams. Especially against the Aussies. RIP Graham.

R.I.P.
Love this about him:
"Naturally right-handed, as a young boy he switched to batting with his left to make it harder for his brothers to get him out when they played among themselves."

Gutted to hear this news this morning. What a great player he was. One of the few genuinely top players we had during the revolving door era of the 90s. When he got going, he was a joy to watch.

RIP Graham

Sad news. Atherton, Stewart, Hussein and him should have been a cracking batting backbone in the 90's, rarely in form together though iirc. Bowling options would have still been crap like.

Imagine how good he could have been if he'd stayed right handed! My favourite player to watch when I first started watching the game. Such sad news
