Grabban & Vaughan

if Lewis Grabban plays another game for us, it'll be one game too many.

Cowardly shitebag. An absolute disgrace today.

Here man give it up you sad twat . Watched grabban after a couple of games and had high hopes for him and the team. That was after a couple of games . Sunderland will struggle this season. I don't give a fuck what a mag thinks . Your on here after every Sunderland defeat . Sad as fuck
Correction: 'are struggling ' this season.

So that's Vaughan and Grabban we shouldn't play up front again. So who should we play up front then genius? There's nee other forwards!

I'd rather stick Mika up front. Grabban's performance today was scandalous. At least Vaughan looks interested and managed to get on the end of a cross once in 90 minutes.

Obviously, if you don't score many goals at any level of football, you are in trouble; and I think we are in trouble

Grabban always moves to hide behind the defender and Vaughan has no obvious strongpoints. These are our two forwards - it doesn't bode well like. Criminal not going all out for a proven goal scorer in the window like
Graysons choice end of story the man is as weak as piss worst yet yip yay get owt

I'm embarrassed these two are our strike force. I'd happily put Watmore and Maja up top when they come back, they certainly wouldn't do any worse

I think everyone is in agreement that Vaughan isn't a Championship standard player. I don't see why he just doesn't throw Asoro in until the other two are fit. What's he got to lose by doing it?
Same again on Tuesday nailed on :(

Nah for me Grabban is decent. Vaughan as predicted is hopeless.

We have needed a striker for about 3 years too.

Grabban was poor today, but he has shown some qualities in previous matches - some composure when taking a shot, and has netted 3 times.

But he's not strong in the air, and Vaughan (though he goes for it more) is worse. In this league I think you need a striker with some physical and aerial ability, and we haven't got that. It was too easy for their defence. Watmore hasn't either, and I'm not sure it's Maja's strength either (although he did impress me pre-season).

It begs the question, Why were we playing so many balls in the air to the front men?

Donaldson made the difference today - they had an effective means of attack, we didn't.

because when the back line have the ball, not one midfielder is offering for the ball. usually, a decent side, has players making space and giving the man on the ball a couple of options, usually one simple pass sideways, one pass forward to a midfielder, one out wide to a winger, one into a channel for a forward, one over the top, a one-two with someone etc.. for years and years, we have not one player (out of 9 outfield players available to the man in possession) attempting to get into any sort of space to collect a ball. its not just today, its every time we put a team out, players almost purposely being marked when we are in possession so they dont get lumbered with the responsibility of being in possession the result is the full back or centre half hoofing it blindly forward. the likes of o'shea and kone, and wes brown and the likes in the past, are not in the team to pick out probing long range passes, its not their jobs. they should have options. they never do.

When you have two useless strikers, why play both?

Why not just play with one useless striker and play an extra midfielder? At least it might shore things up just now? A few 0-0's or maybe even 1-0's would be a massive improvement.

Couldn't believe we lined up with the 2 up front again. It doesn't work for us, I wish it did but it leaves too much space. Grabban seems to have more about him than Vaughan, but was soft as shite today. Neither want to drop off, but try to and it's not their game and end up offering very little. Play 1 with 2 wide men, tell them to get in the box and make a nuisance of themselves. Both were shite there and totally ineffective with each other.
