Name one more game... If you can only name 1 game in 5 year that is good going.

Pompey away 2010, came off his line and was lobbed like a plank.

I'm not really that arsed, he's decent like I said earlier.

Some right uptight fuckers on here tonight

The ball come across the 6 yard line man, if he doesn't come for that, when will he come.

Very poor goalkeeping.

thats it pure and simple, davies headed it 3-4 yrds out

a decent keeper would have taken them both out

True enough - ironically that was his first game back in the team after a long lay off IIRC.

so flash doesnt have a reputation for being shite with crosses and sticking to his line like gazza in a premier inn ?

On sections of this board he seems to, but if you take that as a true barometer of real life you're a f***ing loon

I agree partially. If there's anything he's criticised for, it's with crosses, and that's where he could most improve.

But he's nowhere near as bad as some on here try to make out.

Sadly a lot of people still can't get past his transfer fee

As it was a right footed inswinging cross from the corner of the penalty box it is pretty much impossible for it have went across the 6 yard line.

Carry on making things up though.

my only point is that he made at least one mistake

doesnt make him eat babies or out, just that he made a mistake

You really need to watch it again.

Mignolet would have come out and punched it.

I could probably think of some more, but myself and the other conspirators have an 'agenda' meeting tomorrow and I don't want to give too much away

Oh well, I think anyone who blames him for the second goal is crackers but it's been and gone now. All about opinions bla bla

Hope he gets a new contract.

hes history, didnt you hear?

davies headed from at most4 yrds out, so it came across the 6yrd line

whats wrong with you?

Hes absolutely right. Blame Gordon if you like but telling lies by saying it went along the 6 yard box doesnt help your cause. Even Rivelino in his prime couldnt bend a ball so much it started with his right foot from outside the angle of the penalty area to somehow go along the 6 yard line.

If the cross was lofted and straight, then you might have a point. But it wasn't. It's an in-swinging cross, with dip. The whole point in such a cross is that it remains out of reach of almost everyone until it eventually comes down. Meaning intercepting it midflight is incredibly difficult and it's a hell of a risk for a keeper to make.

It's all very well coming out now and saying "oh well he was in the 6 yard box". But up until that point you have a ball coming in with a curved trajectory, you don't know that it's reaching the 6 yard box until late.

I've heard he's been told he's got these last few games to prove he's worthy of a new deal
