If we go down the route of basing comments because people have played in goal since they were 8 or 7.

I have played in defence since I was 7 and I would expect me or my fellow defenders to put in a challenge to stop the cross, then attack the ball.

I would never expect a keeper to come flying out for that ball.

As a defender I'd be pissed off at letting an attacker get a decent header in

As a defender I'd blame my goalkeeper, because I'd know I'd fucked up.

Incidentally, I was never a goalie, it was just the most obvious way to show how ridiculous an argument it was. ;-)

I genuinely can't believe that Gordon still faces this absurd level of scrutiny after almost five years. It's so f***ing boring that I almost want him to leave.

for the record, as ive said, i thing hes the best keeper at the club, ive always been a fan

fair point, im being picky with the first, he still was over defending his near post mind

he should have , as every defender will tell you, step forward to the ball and not left or right

his feet and position were wrong

Since f***ing when?

Shots dont go to the left or right then?

Every defender will tell you to put a f***ing challenge in, even if you cant win it, you can make it as hard as possible for the attacker

any goal keeper, will tell a defender (who should know) dont stick a leg our etc, but step towards the ball,

If he leaves it will imo be a mistake, but he will never succeed here, his every movement is over analysed

Call the kettle black,Teenage fucktard

Go out and play with your mates...

Sorry i forgot you talk to them on your Xbox head piece...

I made a typo, you just plain can't f***ing spell or construct a sentence you arsehole.

I wonder how big and hard you would act in " real life ", now that would be fun.

Also, I don't have an xbox, try again.

calsberg don't do goalkeepers, but if they did, walter would be the best goalkeeper in the world.

Well thats a first for me, in 29 years, I have never ever been told not to stick a leg out.

WTF are you on

im a million percent right, ive even heard players (keepers and defenders) talk about it on telly

its basic geometry

if you are a pelanty taker , would it be harder for you to score if the keeper was on his line, or half way towards you?

classic smb, just because youve never heard it , it must be bollocks

You're not one million percent right at all though. A goal keeper should make his goal smaller by closing down a man who is one on one with him, not for a bloody volley like todays goal, what Gordon done was correct.
