Goodfellas

Donnie Brasco is excellent and the book is great too. Unbelievable story. Not really a fan of Casino, think it’s one of Scorsese’s poorer films.
 


A lad i used to work with had a gangster book published last year and it’s endorsed by Michael Franzese who gets a mention in Goodfellas.

I loved Heat although he’s still chewing the scenery in that.
(Hated the ending, DeNiro goes on and on about being able to walk away in thirty seconds then bins it all off for a bewer he just met and revenge on Waingrow).

I'd disagree with Pacino's performance completely.

As regards to McCauley's code he actually does abide by it. He walks away from Eady after killing Waingrow due to seeing the police at the scene. The killing of Waingrow is part of his criminal code on snitches and the fact he killed one of his team.
