Good films you don’t like?

Saving Private Ryan. The opening scene is phenomenal, but the rest of the film is a bit cack IMO.

Loads of movies like this, Full Metal Jacket and From Dusk till Dawn come to mind, both have brillaint first halfs and the second half really spoils the movie....

Absolutely totally agree. But I can't acknowledge that it's a 'good' film.
Casablanca. Does nothing for me, but I can recognise it's considered a classic.

Star Wars as a series, the original 3 were the only good ones.

Lord of the Rings is awful as well.

Awful from start to finish.

Can’t have a bad word said about Kubrick me. It’s all about visuals he creates and a feeling that things are wrong. Think of you watch it all the way through it does make a lot of sense but it is a concept he’s trying to create and it does take some imagination

It’s fashion able to be scared of clowns these days therefore a huge hit. I thought it was going to be a psychological thriller but no it’s just a very basic killing film.

Just not my bag. Enjoyed Terminator but not any of the follow ups.
Saw 2 at Manors where you could show your UB40 and get in for 50p

Lots of films on here that, whilst I enjoyed them and think they were good, I'd never watch a second time.

Also plenty that don't stand up to a first-watch today. Had to be watched at the time.

Agree with Full Metal Jacket. Once Private Pyle blows his brains out its all down hill.

Absolutely agree.
Once they get deployed after basic training it turns to dogshit.
Probably also due to the drill instructor and Private Pyle not being in the 2nd half as they made the film for me.
Plus Joker got on my tits a bit.
