Going teetotal

Has anyone on here done it? I do love a drink, I used to be a bit of a party animal but it all takes its toll dunnit?
I think at some point I'm gonna knock it on the head.
OUT: hangovers

If you enjoy a drink and know when to stop, then it’s a great sociable pastime.
I do love a drink and I love socialising (obviously the nightclubs and raving are a distant memory these days) but I know it's no good for me and I do drink more than I should. I do actually like the taste of beer so I could easily swerve over to the non alcoholic stuff I reckon.

Exactly. Life's too short, and often harsh, to give up the simple pleasures.
And some sadomasochists abstain during the most miserable month of the year.

There’s some good discussions on the health sub forums and a lot of support/advice.

Good luck if you feel that you could/should reduce your intake.

Aye for number of years now due to my health.

Pros are the obvious money saved, health/weight benefits and no hangovers.

Cons I haven't really had any myself aside but I suppose it depends on your current social life, habits, etc. It suits me as I said due to my circumstances but as @dangermows has since posted maybe cut back rather than go teetotal if it isn't causing you problems?
