If he left in the summer he’d be linked with the top jobs in England now he will be linked with 2nd tier jobs in Europe. Also if they agreed to go the new manager could have had the Eze money and sold Guehi and got decent money and invest in players they wanted.

The reality is unless you’re at Real Madrid every club is a selling club. Losing Eze and Guehi wasn’t unusual, it’s a cliche at this point for any club that’s not one of the elite clubs. If anything Palace showed a lot of grit to pull the plug on Guehi going at the last minute.

I am intrigued as to who made the decisions on their weird panic buying January window though. That amount could have been utilised so much better

Their whole January was weird, spent £90m and tried but failed to sell 2 strikers for £55m. They don't seem to be in trouble of going down so save the money, sack Glasner and get Keane in (if thats who they want) so he gets 15 games to judge each player then give him the £90m plus whatever you get for those he doesnt want. I'd love to know who the 2 big signings spoke to as how can you decide to join a club when you have no idea who the manager will be in 6 months.
