Give Bally a chance

Lads need a kick up the arse and hes a club legend. Hard as nails and could straighten them out. The likes of Graham wouldnt be stepping out of line with him.

Could get a good coach in like Paul Cook alongside him for tactics.

Ffs no. He is certainly available mind. Done nothing for years.
He was hopeless man. He’s 55 year old. Is he really hard as nails now? Would players be scared of him. Probably can’t even remember him playing.
It’s a no from me.

Strong hand shake though.

Only read the first page of this thread but I've read some absolutely appalling comments.

"I’m going to be controversial and say I’d hope he leaves the club too.

involved all the way through this debacle and a bit of a yes man. Sorry to offend those who hold him in high regard."

"Agreed, milked us good."

Here's a man who had no link to SAFC at all, yet took the club, the area and the fans to heart. Always put 100% in on the pitch and he's stayed in the area after leaving the club. In total, he's worked in and around the club for nigh on 30 years.

Whatever happened to Sunderland fans only ever asking commitment from players/management?

The man deserves much more respect IMO.

WHy do people want Bally? There was a time a while back where I would have thought it a good appointment but not now. He hasnt even been coaching for 6 or 7 years now.

Please God no.

The 'kick up the arse' didn't work when he has done it as a caretaker before.

And we probably need someone more interested in developing a managerial career, rather than someone who just wants to be on the payroll at SAFC, going wherever he is put.

Have to drag him out from Donald's arse.

I think you’re being disingenuous. Your post makes out Ball has done us a favour by staying at SAFC. He’s had a good living from SAFC. To progress we need to ensure that everyone at the club is the best available rather than a legacy from the past.

How is what I've said "disingenuous"?

Of course Bally has been employed well from SAFC. But in a day and age when everyone cry about the lack of loyalty and passion from players, I think that some of the remarks towards a man who has shown nothing but loyalty to a club of which he had no ties with originally are pretty disrespectful.

It always amazes me that some fans constantly look backwards and roll out the same tied old names...

While I don't want him as manager some of the comments aimed at him are ridiculous.

He's a club ambassador ffs, not the union man.
