I didn't know any of this. Not quite the romantic story I thought it was.This. One of their best players is Savio. He is Troyes record signing, on loan at Girona. He has never played for Troyes. Coincidentally Troyes are also owned by City, and Savio is supposed to be off to Man City in the summer so he will probably never actually play for Troyes.
It’s a very interesting on the pitch footballing story tbf, just a bit murky off the pitchI didn't know any of this. Not quite the romantic story I thought it was.
Aye if they win the league and City don’t win the prem that means city won’t be eligible to play in the champions league next season
State owned club. They play in R&W, you can fly from Northumbria airport and it's well worth a visit (particularly if you are a Game of Thrones fan)
Madrid v Girona is no clásico but promises to be a title-defining La Liga classic | Sid Lowe
Happened with Strasbourg as well after Boehly/Chelsea bought into them. Their fans are still protesting about now. It’s a disgrace it’s allowed to happen!!I really don’t understand a) how multi-club ownership is allowed and b) as supporters of the club(s) who are part of them why you’d want to be. You’re either being used or cheating, I’m sure I’m missing something just seems like a shame that this what sport is becoming.
Troyes seemingly having no benefit over Savio being on their books. Never played for them and they could get relegated again
Can't have the same individuals in the same jobs overseeing both clubs, so people in the ownership move jobs and they can then both play in itAye if they win the league and City don’t win the prem that means city won’t be eligible to play in the champions league next season
That’s incorrectCan't have the same individuals in the same jobs overseeing both clubs, so people in the ownership move jobs and they can then both play in it
Aleix Garcia is a hell of a player. Going to be all manner of clubs in for him this summer (unless he goes for a convenient fee to city)
We have a real connection with Girona then, not that Bilbao mob.We give them red and white kits back in the day iirc. Back when the Nissan lads went to work over there in the early 1900s.
It’s not at all. Some season they are having. Showing the big boys how to do it on a shoestring budget. Fairytale stuff
/s
Actually owned by The City Group - semantics I know, but it’s more direct than just having the same owners. It’s about to possibly become a nightmare rather than a fairytale. The City Group have been given an ultimatum if Girona qualify for Champions League - either sell majority of ownership and remove all links between Girona and all other clubs owned by The City Group (in which Girona as a club are screwed), or one of Man City or Girona will be excluded from the Champions League.Owned by Abu Dhabi group same as Man City not really a fairytale.
If they both win league why happens ?Aye if they win the league and City don’t win the prem that means city won’t be eligible to play in the champions league next season
Are you sure?Aye if they win the league and City don’t win the prem that means city won’t be eligible to play in the champions league next season
