It feels as though its dragged on a bit but that's probably just because we tend to find out about these things earlier than we used to.

I can remember the days when dragging on was the pursuit of John Frain from Birmingham or Bernard McInally from West Brom for months and months before being turned down and getting no one!

Reckon this one will still go through.
 
Yes, you're right, it did. That was because Angeleri only applied for his Italian passport after SAFC's interest. There are conflicting reports stating that Peruzzi already has an Italian passport or he is eligible for one.

If it is the latter, then, potentially, there could be an Angeleri situation. However, given that De Fanti and Angeloni have previously been involved in the transfers of other South American players in similar circumstances and presumably have a greater appreciation of the notoriously byzantine Italian civil service then hopefully they will have the knowledge to enable them to negotiate the way through the red-tape as expeditiously as possible.

I was just about to say that.
