Most important man at the club over the next 6 months or so.

Everyone’s seen the Brobbey interest and also Man Utd and apparently a number of other premier clubs chasing Sadiki. Roefs we already knew about. There will be more.

He (Along with KLD and Le Bris) are going to have to make some big decisions in the summer. We have a generational chance to establish ourselves and kick on with our current squad, PSR headroom and the opportunity to potentially sell and reinvest in the summer. I can’t think of another time when we had this much of a foundation to progress.

If we get offers that are too good to turn down and feel we can reinvest to improve overall in the summer then the club will have to make some tough decisions. We also saw up the road last summer how making the wrong ones can completely set you back with the Mags spending 250 million on shite that will now give them a multi year hangover.

Massive and potentially exciting summer ahead and with no Speakman now it will be largely down to him if we can build from where we are now.

I dont think Speakman had any input or say into Summer business just gone
It was all the big G
Let’s hope is little black book and KLD’s wallet are all fired up and ready for the summer window incoming

It’ll be hard to keep everybody given there going to be genuine interest. I think the key will be not to let too many go. & obviously continue with the last summer window & buy git class players.

Either of us could be completely wrong with this, but I’d have said the foundations were in place & Speakmans work will have played a big part. We’ll have had some plans for the possibility of going up in early 2025. Automatic promotion was on until March & even after, the play offs were guaranteed. Ghisolfi wasn’t appointed until July. Surely he’s not wandering in at that point & pulling the whole of the summer together? He’ll have not sat twiddling his thumbs like.
 
Think the transfers this season will depend mainly on who wants to go . My view is anyone who has come seeing us a brief stepping stone can go if we get the magic number .
We've built our side on a shared " connection " and keeping players who think they have outgrown us will disrupt that no matter how talented . I dont know if we have any that fit that criteria , they all seem fairly happy with the gig they have .
The two Dutch lads Roefes and Brobbey seem to say less about the excitement of being here but the Dutch are notoriously laid back . Good thing is if they did go there would be £100m minimum in the budget .

Not saying it would, could or should happen,

But imagine if we do sell both for £100m and manage to replace Roefs with another unearthed gem for circa £10m

That would be upto £90m to spend on a Big Brobbey replacement :lol:

I reckon we'd use that plus the bits and bats we get off Isidor , Adingra , Patto & one or two others who arent up to it , maybe £140-50m all told , and spread it around 5 value 'starters ' and 3 young possibles
That would be a hellish consolidation at zero cost ,PL squad consolidated in 3 windows 😳🫡
