Getting beat in the air in our own box

Early part of the season it felt like we were aerial powerhouses and Ballard, Xhaka, Alderette, Mukiele would just clear every single ball into our box.

Of late ive noticed us conceeding a lot of goals / chances to headers however. I don’t have the stats but it is noticable.

Not sure whats going on but it isn’t great.

They’re not jumping high enough.
 
Jimenez for them today at set-pieces was hanging around the D and letting everyone else do the holding and wrestling. He then made his run as the crosses were coming in.

Common sense to be honest.

He’s another Diego Costa type forward. Hated by the opposition but a real handful.

He’s a right worky ticket given how fragile he is.

And our corners were repeatedly awful. Didn’t pass the first man and you thought, well they won’t do the same again only to keep on doing it.

You would think that with the number of corners this season where we haven’t beaten the first man, that the coach would have someone at the near post.

Incredibly naive.
