Rumour doing the rounds that in the brave new world of England cricket Geoff is being considered as an England selector!

If that's true then we might actually get some decent squad players in the side instead of the underperforming superstars we have now.

With James Whitaker taking over as chief selector the ECB probably need a dedicated northern selector to replace him. Would be a decent number for Cook but would prefer to see him working behind the scenes at Durham with younger players.

Experienced County captains and umpires should form the selection committee-they're the guys who see the games from the middle. That's why Colly would be an excellent choice with Peter Willey for example.

he runs everyday, surely his running habits are well known to everyone these days..
