Geertruida


Sounds like he would like to stay, although he has always been a good egg even when not playing. A small part of me is worried this is him showing his desire publicly now we are getting to the end of the season and the club are not as keen. Hope that is just my paranoia.

He has been very solid at RB and at CB too. Composed and technically sound on the ball and great positioning. Also very good at getting tight and robbing the ball from attackers and not just standing off his man.
 
If we get a European place, together with the African Nations Tournament, then a bigger squad will be essential and versatile players like Geertruida will be worth their weight in gold. Get him signed!

If I'm Leeds I'd be all over his agent. Or almost any mid-table Prem team. Imagine he ends up at Coventry!! He seems like he's playing for the shirt so still a chance he stays. Ghisolfi should be sorting it this weekend.

No he's not but he is well ahead of either Hume & O9
If RLB wanted to boost defence by playing a defender in MF ala Hume it would make a lot more sense to me that he would of pushed Mukielle there and put Gertruida behind him and been more solid.
If Gertruida wants to play regularly which he obviously does hes gone and has been for a long time before Xmas because its obvious RLB isn't going to unless forced to, like a few other things.

He is second best RB at the club… à comfortable second to Nordi, who thankfully, in the absence of Omar is the best available CB at the club, second best when all CB are available
Dont get me wrong I believe Gerty is very very good and hope we keep him
For me our first choice defence when all players available ( even hair pullers ) is
Gerty Nordi Omar Reinildo
When all fit that is a top 6 team back 4
 
It’s very odd how this has played out. So many games he hasn’t done of the bench, throw him into the derby he’s brilliant, but then is out of the team again. I’m so pleased he’s had a few games at the end of the season to show everyone what we already knew that he’s a top player. Yes it looks like he’s leaving which just means we try and find someone equally as good for the same budget which I think will be tough.

Mukiele is the best centre-back at the club, point blank.
 
Very odd he is prem level defender got years ahead of him would not cost much what is the problem??? Frustrating!!
