Hume has given a few penalties away needlessly. His pass completion percentage isn't great either. RLB rates him quite highly for some reason so I'm fine with that.He hasn’t though, not to the same extent as Gertruidas heart in mouth moments. Hume usually loses the ball in the oppositions half when we’re playing forward.
Didn’t know throw ins are counted. Seems ridiculous to do so.He’s in the bottom 8% for passing accuracy, bottom 50% for % duels won, bottom 40% for being disposed, bottom 10% for dribble success.
Those are compared to full backs mind and godknows where he’s playing, but if you compare him to players in any other positions on a few of those metrics, he still comes out rock bottom.
Hume is averaging a 74% passing accuracy across the season, the lowest in the squad and pretty comfortably so. There’s been numerous games where he’s only managed about 60% which isn’t good enough. People talk about our lack of attacking threat and if you’ve got a player who gives it back to the opposition 2 from every 5 passes it’s no surprise why.
The only one close is mukiele, but that’s because his 100+ long throws are included in his figures an largely count as an unsuccessful pass.
Again, im not complaining, RLB trusts him and results more than justify it. I take issue with people saying it’s just lazy criticism because he’s cheap and Irish. There are aspects of his game that aren’t at the level of his teammates.
We know the reasons, he’s totally committed, versatile and crunches opposition players well enough to affect games both physically and psychologically.Hume has given a few penalties away needlessly. Neither did I tbf until I saw mukiele at the bottom which shocked me. Was only when I looked further it made sense.Didn’t know throw ins are counted. Seems ridiculous to do so.

And they failed!Slot said Liverpool wanted to strengthen buying Geertruida.
We got so far that Liverpool wants to strengthen by taking one of our reserves.
We really need to push for Europe!
If he did sign permanently I could see Hume’s position being under threat longer term, however, Hume seems to have stepped up recently and grown into the league whereas I feel like he had some shaky moments and looked a weaker link at times earlier in the season.This. Also, I like Geertruida, think he's been good when he's played, but if he wants guaranteed first team football I'm not sure where he'll get it tbh. Liverpool would probably have played him, but only because they've got two right backs out and the manager knows him, very little chance they'd have signed him permanently. He hasn't shown enough to deserve to be ahead of Hume (at RB), Mukiele (CB or RB), or the lads in midfield. He's a good footballer but most decent sides have strong options like we do. If he doesn't sign because he wants to be a starter it would probably have to be for a mid table side in a weaker league. If he wants to stay in a top league then, like most players, he'll have to accept not being an automatic starter. He'd still get plenty of minutes through injury, resting players, suspensions etc and would get plenty of chances to play well enough to stay in
Absolute mental take man scored two and your dropping him record signing ? Also Ballard is nowhere near ahead of xhaka mukilele roefs and le fee for player of the seasonI think he’ll start too. Maybe Diarra dropping out. Whilst he might have been psychically fit for 8 weeks now, he still hasn’t had a lot of match time. Even less time “making connections” & playing in Le Bris’ set ups. I reckon three centre halves, Hume & Reinildo wing backs with Sadiki & Gerty as the central midfielders.
Leaves Le Fee, Brobby & Tialbi to do the damage up top. Hopefully we get near their box.
Ballard’s my player of the season so far. First name on the team sheet & undroppable on current form.
Weh, one of the many Jones we have that probably aren’t at the standard to be part of the warm up never mind on the pitch. Squads always have injuries & absences & it is an actual fact we didn’t have a player available to replace him.It wasn't even Harrison, we have 3 wingers to come into squad we are fine
That’s opinion on Ballard.Absolute mental take man scored two and your dropping him record signing ? Also Ballard is nowhere near ahead of xhaka mukilele roefs and le fee for player of the season
He's fully fit and no reason he can't play bothWeh, one of the many Jones we have that probably aren’t at the standard to be part of the warm up never mind on the pitch. Squads always have injuries & absences & it is an actual fact we didn’t have a player available to replace him.
I’d be quite happy to bet my house that there’ll be more injuries before now & the end of the season.
That’s opinion on Ballard.
Diarra vs a relegation side at home vs potential champions away is a completely different situation. & I’ve highlighted quite heavily, it’s not ability, it’s on his injury record & fitness this season. We’ve got a match on Wednesday that he’s arguably going to give us a better chance of points than when we’re inevitably going to need more defensive a players in a back to the wall match.
He’s not going to get fit unless he plays he wouldn’t of played in the afcon or last week otherwiseWeh, one of the many Jones we have that probably aren’t at the standard to be part of the warm up never mind on the pitch. He stepped backwards big time against Whu, a week ago , did ok against Burnley but that was our easiest game of the seasonIf he did sign permanently I could see Hume’s position being under threat longer term, however, Hume seems to have stepped up recently and grown into the league whereas I feel like he had some shaky moments and looked a weaker link at times earlier in the season.
He didn’t play in the AFCON. Well, about 17mins.He’s not going to get fit unless he plays he wouldn’t of played in the afcon or last week otherwise
& more will replace them on the treatment table.Aye but Traore, Xhaka and the new winger to come in
You’re blinded by the fact one is from Northern Ireland and cost a bag of peanuts, and one is a Dutch international that Liverpool wanted purely because their manager, managed him in Holland.
On showings this season, Gertrude has done nothing to suggest he’s better than Hume in any position.
Nor has he done it in training by the looks of things.
Training every day and wouldn’t of been allowed to go if not fitHe didn’t play in the AFCON. Well, about 17mins.

Guitruida is quality on the ball although on the flip side Hume has a lot more urgencyI beg to differ. Geertruida has mostly looked class when called upon. Hume has done well generally but Geertruida looks better.
I'd imagine he'll need his shirt even if he's sub marraJust spotted Geetruida's shirt in the changing room. Great, if he is really playing then!
Even when they are on the bench they tend to be hung upJust spotted Geetruida's shirt in the changing room. Great, if he is really playing then!
