Geertruida

I do t mind accepting that Liverpool are more decorated club and players will want to go there over us, however the way we we are letting Liverpool dictate deals and are stepping aside almost apologetically is pretty much like tucking someone in who’s banging your mrs. It’s soft as owt.
Who said we're doing that like? He's on loan here for a start

He is and he does.
But he's started seven games this season and had Granit not been injured I suspect it would have been less of a concern when he left.
He was Slots captain at Feyenoord for three seasons and he he clearly has a relationship with him similar to the one Le Fee enjoys with Le Bris.
No point worrying about things out of your control or things you can't change.
There is a worry, we're losing a very good player who can play numerous positions. However you dress it up that's not good

It's always going to be a struggle to hold on to a player who you don't own, who doesn't get a regular game when Liverpool come in and his former manager offers him more minutes in a World Cup year.

I mean in the sense of the claim he will get games in a WC year, I would be amazed if he got any more time there than he would here.

There is absolutely zero chance of Liverpool coming sniffing for a player like this unless there has been significant undertones for a period of time
I think because he knows alot that’s what has done this.
he might get more games because of their injuries i suppose

Has this happened much before? I've seen players/clubs cut loans short like Grabban then to be sent elsewhere or someone being bought like with Tammy Abraham recently.

But don't recall ones where a player with no break clause getting interest from somewhere else and the clubs he's on loan to being quite happy to let him go to another club on loan.

The one time I can recall him getting a shot at that hybrid rb/rm role that Hume has been doing so well this season he was a bit of a disaster. Agree about him being better at right back and central midfield, but is he better ‘enough’ to warrant 20m and a rumoured wage of nearly £100k p/w? Could we get a better centre half and a better midfielder than LG and be more talented overall? I’d say so. Versatility is important, but it’s arguably not a great idea to spend such cash on a jack of all trades when they’re not really a master of one.

It's possible, but I think he's been underused and I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a very good career.

We'll do very well to get an upgrade imo.

What's wrong with that like? Didn't expect to come on here only to be kinkshamed.
