Geertruida

Hopefully we can keep him for remainder of season with an agreement to buy and sell on to Liverpool in the summer. That would surely be acceptable to the lad.

He’ll want to play under his favourite manager and get in the World Cup team
I said on multiple occasions during the first half of the session, he should have been our first signing on January 1st. And absolute snip at £20m.
Alas, you snooze you lose.
Agreed, if we were able to sign him in January

By the sounds of it, the option to buy would only have been enabled at the end of the season, otherwise I'd think this would be a no trainer.

He'll not stay fit if he doesn't train.

Its a strange situation for me - we have him on loan with an option to buy, but someone else comes in for him during the loan - makes both the loan and option weak. This is something that should (and for all we know is) tied up tightly in the legal aspects of the existing deal.

It's frustrating, but could be something we have to get used to. Look at what's happened at Palace this season. 3 absolute key players lost who have probably had a bigger impact on them then what Geertruida will have on us.

so personal terms were sorted “days ago” hence why he never came on against WHU.

Tell the scouse fuckers £10m or fuck off. That’s what they got to release A-A a month early to play in the club World Cup for Rsal Madrid last year.

Always thought we wouldn’t sign him due to lack of minutes. Not happy.

The options to buy clauses are for the the loaning/buying club to secure their investment with respect to the loan fee ..they are always dependent on the players agreement at any stage ..so if the safc triggered the buy clause it would always require the players agreement.
