Geertruida

Mental he can’t get in our team but can at Liverpool. Hopefully we buy for £20m and sell for £30m.

Look forward to seeing somebody else come in.

Same mate. I'm not as bothered as others. He's a good player but certainly not a starter or irreplacable.
My problem is the timing tbh, mate. If it leaves us weaker than we currently are, then it isnt a great situation to be in. Only way this works, is if we get a big chunk of compensation from Liverpool/Leipzig.

He’s been excellent in that specific role many time. Maybe even every time he’s been asked to do it. When he’s playing a hybrid role into the centre it hasn’t worked at all as well.

I honestly think that many have got their heads stuck into the idea that we’re solely playing the same shape we did last season. We’re not. Our off ball shape is definitely different, switching from 4-4-2 to 5-4-1 as we get deeper, and we’re different in build up too. Hume isn’t playing the role that Rigg did last term, or Roberts. It’s a different role entirely.
I understand that and I'm fully aware however he sis not suited to that style and we have better players that could do it in my opinion. I believe Hume is a excellent RB for the PL bit any where else he shows his weaknesses far to much and most times goes missing.

We absolutely an not afford that in the best league in the world.

Have you asked him? There has been zero indication that he is unhappy at Sunderland
You're avoiding my question. If you think a player would be happy to continue to be a squad player at Sunderland rather than starting for Liverpool (where there's a large Dutch contingent and a manager you've captained for before) then you're either deluded or your Sunderland bias is kicking in.
