Geertruida

I hope you're right cos if the move doesn't happen with a stuck with an unhappy player for the rest of the season.

It's only right Sunderland look after number 1, which is the club. Would like to think Geetruida is professionally enough to go about his business in the right manner should the move not happen

Frimpong only got his injury diagnosis on Thursday mind so hardly weeks. Frimpong doesn’t get injured don’t think Liverpool move for Geertrudia. Le Bris wouldn’t have him on the bench for the sake of it. If he was leaving “Weeks” ago he would of been left out entirely.
I think they needed a RB whether frimpong is fit or not. He isn't really a RB, and with all the games they have they needed someone else to play there. Bradley being injured for a long period is the starter to needing someone in. Otherwise they have to play midfielders there.

@Grumpy Old Man If we did go down the road of making his loan permanent at say £18m and then selling on to Liverpool at £30m, how does this affect PSR, I gather it gives us more headroom?

Hume either plays RB or sits on the bench.

Why does every one including RLB try to she horn him into the squad constantly...

He's not a midfielder he's proven that.
He’s been excellent in that specific role many times this season. Maybe even every time he’s been asked to do it. When he’s playing a hybrid role into the centre it hasn’t worked at all as well.

I honestly think that many have got their heads stuck into the idea that we’re solely playing the same shape we did last season. We’re not. Our off ball shape is definitely different, switching from 4-4-2 to 5-4-1 as we get deeper, and we’re different in build up too. Hume isn’t playing the role that Rigg did last term, or Roberts. It’s a different role entirely.

What a shame, really like the look of this lad and was staggered he didn't start last week. Such is the modern game I suppose and at least it's Liverpool taking our players and not Wigan, we must be doing summat right

Right, having calmed down, and looking on the bright side (admittedly with a huge RAF searchlight ) . Us getting two players on loan we never even paid for, and hardly played, but shipped on for substantial compensation must go down as cracking financial business , the proof of which may well show in headroom ? Spend it right and jobs a good un
Although i did like Geerty ( a lot) I'm now going by my own maxim " never fall in love with a loan player" .
