Not all contracts are the same but the key is Wilson wanted to sign.

Least we'd get good money for them and not just lose him for noet a day before the window ends.

Doesn't surprise me tbh after he hasn't had a minute for week. Hopefully we have a plan
 
As a CB option, he's 4th choice

As a RB option, you could argue he's 3rd choice

As a CM option he's second choice to Xhaka at best


Not good, but it's not like we're losing a first XI main stay
 
I hope the club aren’t going to just not replace him mind. We’re light if he leaves and Xhaka is out for a few weeks. I don’t want to see Trai Hume in midfield again.

We signed him permantley in January as we had no loans left to sign Danns

This is why I don't get Liverpool wanting him. I get Slot knowing him but he is a good squad player for us and that's it
 
Two loan players we've brought in this season both left us scrambling for replacements on deadline day.

Let's hope we learn the lesson.

Important people remember that having an option clause in a loan simply means a pre-agreed transfer fee. You still have to negotiate personal terms.

We could activate the fee now, but Geertruida has to agree to join. Unlikely he’ll do that knowing Liverpool want him. Liverpool also only want a loan.

Expect some defensive midfielders linked soon, and we’ll have £5m off Liverpool to cancel the loan deal.
