Well it certainly weakens his argument. If he was genuinely bothered about workers rights and felt so strongly he wouldn't have taken the money offered to him. It's as straightforward as that really. It's amazing how the offer of masses of money can bring out the hypocrite in people. Football seems to bring out the worst in them. He's a great example of that.

It is, in your opinion. As another poster said we're all hypocrites to some degree. I disagreed with them getting the world cup but ive really enjoyed watching it, i care about workers rights and hate tax avoidance but still use amazon etc etc.

Its hilarious that the government and PM have said he should not politicize a football match when that is literally this whole country has done to Qatar since the tournament started.

he did..he criticised the tratement of workers in the UK by other employers..
when he treats his workers a lot worse than the person he criticised does..
thats called dishonesty..but then punditry is by definition a dishonest profession

Yep. Finally someone outside the obvious points out that our country is being run into the ground and guess who is the villian? The Tories are brilliant at deflection and whattaboutery.

Can anyone tell me one service in this country that is better now than in 2010? Our nurses are using food banks for gods sake in the 6th richest country on the planet.

So why has ITV and BBC done that every single match? Why you not showing the same anger at them as you are to Neville?

People talk about sportswashing but seems like more people have been brainwashed by the media as to how to think and who to be angry at

I've got no issue with talking about Qatar, but I've got no interest in anything he's got to say or anyone else about British Politics during a football programme.
I despise the Tories but I depise self righteous hypocrites even more.
If I wanted to discuss Politics during a football match I'd go and see what the window lickers in the Politics forum were arguing about but I don't.

I say its fair game If broadcasters are talking about other countries then Neville has every right to show up the government in our own country for the bunch of sacks they are.

I never said he did. I said he was the wrong person to be discussing workers rights whilst sat there inside an arena that 1000s of workers lost their lives building and being paid £1.6m to do so.

That suggests he in fact cares for his wallet a lot more than he does these workers. The thing with the likes of Neville is that their actions tend to speak louder than their words.

the legality of zero hours contracts is a UK government policy towards workers..and neville supports it and profits from it
