I know this is Pure Football and all that but the Rest is History is genuinely superb. Balanced, nuanced, opinionated yet done so in a reasonable authentic way and... very funny.

In a sea of absolute guff, that podcast is going down as a Hall of Famer.

I hate the argument that someone who has an opinion on something, but not another, and that makes them a twat. It’s far easier to stay silent.

Ultimately his choice to run with it though. He could have chosen to accept a less rewarding deal that was more aligned to his background as an athlete. Maybe he actually enjoyed stuffing his face with shit crisps, who knows.
