How do they? We arent the only football club that holds concerts in the summer. Man City had a load in the summer, hell tranmere had status quo and will young, surely beyonce, Springsteen, take that etc must make money. Take That done 4 or 5 nights. I dont know i must admit, but it amazes me that they dont make money.

It was never owned by the football club, they were catering partners i.e. It's was down to them to hire staff, order food and prepare it and then sell it, they 1879 got there costs paid for and any profit shared between them and the owners.....
 
Bains not an admirer of Hutchinson. Was always on the cards. Bains is slowly culling the SLT head count. Hutchinson was a bluffer who was never a people person. Only cared about his well being. A good step for SAFC!

He always impressed me massively in my personal and (limited) professional dealings with him.

Whatever people may think of him, he is Sunderland born and bred and through and through.

Not sorry to see him go though. I hope he is replaced rather than jettisoned. The commercial side needs to work a lot better and it would be a pity to lose the concerts. You can't blame them for our bad starts, they don't affect Man City after all. They put us on the map in a different way to the football side of things, and surely it is not beyond someone's wit to make money for the club out of them.
