Anyone know of a website that tracks prices in furniture shops? We could do with a new sofa, but it is likely to take us a while to get out and look round a few shops. We are in no desperate hurry, but with January sales on, it might be worth taking the plunge quickly if we see something we like. I wondered if there was any way of telling if the sales prices in the likes of DFS or Harveys is actually a good sale price or a permanent sale that we can pick ip in March.

Was watching a canny program yesterday about stuff like this, was called super savers on normal TV. Was just showing Dfs up for being a joke with the way they price there stuff. Its criminal

have a sale on, then if you type deal20 at the end you get an extra 20% off - they have some very nice sofas on offer.

That is what I was thinking. Im a lazy shopper so don’t want to hurry if it is a fake sale.

Last sofa I bought I took a picture in from a big shop to an upholsterer I know who does commercial work for pubs coffee shops etc...

Made it in a better fabric for half the price

All of Dfs are a sham. They have to end the sale in order to comply with British law. So they get around this by having the exact same sofa in the next sale but they change something daft on it like the legs.

So just look at the price and the deal and decide if it's for you
It's what they all do ,super sake must end soon
Hall decent stuff ,made in UK with tick if u want it

I found a lot of the stuff in chain stores is poor quality from China etc.

Bought mine from a small company in Wales who manufacture themselves. They're about 11 years old now and still in decent condition and comfortable. They cost a bit more than DFS etc., but I can't see the need to replace them for a number of years yet so overall good value for money.

Most sofas are made in the UK.. and many from those factories inWales.

They can sell them direct to you and make more money than the dosh they get off scs, dfs etc

Definitely worth using them direct

Ditto, moving house in the New Year and will be looking to get decent stuff.

I bought from their leather site:
Mine is one of the contemporary ones as I like Chesterfields but I don't like the buttons on them!

Their sister site does fabric and modular ones
