Fulham fans.

I've heard today that Fulham fans were invited via Twitter to drink in The Duck, Sourhwick, pre-match. A few of their fans took up the offer and were sound. Don't tar everybody with the same brush.
The ones I spoke to were canny enough although some were a bit tipsy on the beer and frenzied atmosphere induced by the footycard, the first 10 thought it might be a trap, seemed to thoroughly enjoy the cheap drinks 👍

Had a good chat with one coming over the bridge on way to match,he qad stopping in the new hotel and really enjoyed the sea front
1st time here said he absolutely loved it
Nice story hun.etc.

What a bunch of wankers. Proper small time songs slagging Sunderland off all game (Netflix, You're f***ing shit etc) instead of singing about their own team. Very disappointing, I thought they might have had a bit more class.

Agree with this. Their banter was totally shit. No imagination whatsoever.

They simply chanted songs that Sunderland fans regularly sing to home fans when we play away.

When you consistently sell out away ends, you can sing what you want. When you bring a few hundred you should rein it in a bit.

However nice chance for you to have a pop at the fans, so you’ll be happy.

So it goes on the numbers away fans being what can be sang or not 😂

Well than you've just come up with one of the most insane posts of 2023 then pal

The original post I made was tongue in cheek. The point was, if you bring a few hundred up and sing your support is shit etc. it looks a little bit hypocritical doesn’t it?

My point was Sunderland sell out away attendance week after week, so can sing things without looking hypocritical.

You just dive in with two feet any chance to slag the fans off. You’re a proper weirdo.

I'm really not pal.

It wasnt slagging off was it though

We sing the exact same things we had sang at us last night but when it is done to us this place goes into the huff.

I mean they had about 500 fans and other than a brief part in the second half the atmosphere from the 29000 of our fans was quiet.

My main gripe was that our squad probably cost less than what they paid for Mitrovic and they were singing "you're f***ing shit". It just shows a massive lack of class and humility.

No one is in the huff man 😂

You slag the fans off non-stop. Like I said, you’re a weirdo pal.

You're entitled to your opinion but you are incorrect. Like how I "slagged" them off for creating a good atmosphere at Millwall or Fulham. Funny how as always people like yourself miss that out.

I'll agree on that point

Our fans made a lot of noise for more than a brief part in the 2nd half.
- we were noisy at the start of the game
- we were noisy after they scored their first goal.

Thats 2 instances early in the game. That’s just off the top of my head, there were loads more.

I'll agree on that point

My opinion that you slate the fanbase off regularly is incorrect? I would say it’s a fact. You’re noted for it, which is why you get these type of comments.

I can only assume you want this kind of attention, so I think we’ll leave it there.

No attention wanted at all and agreed let's leave it at that before it degenerates

It's not slagging off

Sunderland fans do go to away games and chant things like "you're support is f***ing shit" or "insert town" is a shithole or "my garden shed" not to mention sarcastically mock the opposition attendance when its announced.

Not as relentless as Fulham were last night. They were singing You're f***ing shite on repeat.
