Kings Tun opposite that cheesy night club ? true about Kingston maybe but your not going to marry any of them ? have you been to the Kingston Mill or The Bishop on the river ?

Aye, thats the one, club used to be called Options but was knaan as Opsharons as thats what you got in there.

Been to all them pubs down the river, and round the town, the more discerning Loyalists drink off the beaten track!

Down the river is a minge magnet durin the summer months but also gets full of arseholes. Be a giggle tonight tellin all the plastic Chelsea how they are gonna win nowt...................

Giving sage advice about pubs in Kingston to a bloke who has lived in Kingston
for, probably, more years that you have been alive

It's me Silver Jubilee next year! 25 years in the Royal Borough!

Give or take the odd few months away here and there!

I remember when the Canbury was the Canbury!!

Was in on Good Friday, you wouldn't recognise it!!

Remember it well. I haven't had a proper night out in Kingston for many a year now. Don't miss it either:lol:

fair point.....I am 40 ....lived in Surbiton and then Tolworth all my life...Kingston was the place to go for a night out as it was a 15 min bus ride away. moved away when I was 28 ish and rarely go back to Kingston.

So it's good to talk about pubs from my youth.

Don't go into Kingston much now, McCluskeys used to be canny too though.

The other nightclub whose name escapes me is apparently full of swarthy types and not that pleasant now.

But you are right, you are missing nowt................

Kingston has always been a Chelsea stronghold.

You ever been in the Canbury??

If there was a pub in Royston Vasey it would have been that one.

No one normal drank there, strangers were gawped at upon entry, the owner was a chain smokin nutter whose wife had an affair, so he moved a drug taking punk scrubber in to replace her and gave her a job.

He has a Great Dane called Balderick who used to howl when he put certain records on, and dribbled over the scran he put on the table for the quiz.

There was regularly drunken brawls involving men who were not normally violent, more just Brown Bottle types who he'd sold really strong ales too

God I miss that place..........................

Aye, one of me mates used to drive the scrubbers about!!

Hovel, apart from its obvious redeeming features!!

No ...is that near the Artful Dodger ? blimey that sounds quite a place....strangest Kingston pub I went in had to be the Outrigger by the river run by a old sea faring swarthy bloke covered in tats..who threw us out for upsetting his customers ...but the pub was empty! use to do a lot of underage drinking in that pub opposite Bentalls, it was on a corner, can't remember the name.

The Peel .....what a seedy gaff that is ! my mate goes to see bands there with his wife....tells her he's going out for a smoke, then pop next door to see the rippers.

The Wheelwrights??

Or might be the old 3 Brewers which is now an estate agents or summink.

That Outriggers was canny, as was the Lamb which is no more.

Used to get in The Willoughby (The autographed Sunderland strip on the wall is mine, got the Landlord to put it up in place of the signed Shearer shirt that was there, on the understanding that I would eventually tear it off the wall and I didn't want to get barred!)

Most of the canny pubs that were are no more, but I think its the same in most towns now....................

Clapham is good, High St can be a bit chavvy by the station but go down Northcote Road and there a few good bars/pubs

Wimbledon is good too plenty of pubs by the Station and near the theatre.

whatever you do ...don't go to Mitcham for a night out....it's like Hendon.

:evil::evil::evil:

Does anybody believe he/she is genuinely a Fulham fan yet? I do!

That's it the 3 Brewers! we used to get mullered in there and roll around the floor drunk and the landlord would just laugh at us...we must have been about 15. never been in the Willougby.

My Favourite pub was the Victoria ( Mad Hatters) on Ewell Road, Surbiton used to be run by Barry and his lovely Mrs Jane, quite a few 'characters' drank in there. ( sadly a Chelsea pub)
