But you can't punish the club properly without leaving a few innocent people disappointed. It's the very nature of the entertainment industry

Disagree with that. Relegation and perhaps an embargo on oversees players would be punishment but wouldn't put them at risk of going under and an entire region losing international cricket.

I guess so. I do think though that in this day and age money is all that matters to most organisations and financial penalties are what they fear the most, and would be the biggest deterrent to other clubs. I've always argued for the biggest financial penalty, I.e the removal of internationals, to be imposed to really hurt the club. Modern day YCCC doesn't give a toss about success on the field and winning trophies

They're shameless. I would write a letter to Julie Elliot MP drawing her attention to it. She was on the DCMS committee that investigated Yorkshire racism scandal as well as MP for Sunderland Central, representing many Durham ccc fans. Pressure needs to be brought on the DCMS to investigate the ECB's handling of the matter.
