@Roger
Just had a pop up ad on my phone.
When I cancelled the ad I immediately got a text saying I had subscribed to FreeMsg for £4.50 a week.
Phoned network provider and they said first £4.50 already taken and I need to contact company to un-subscribe.
Company has no contact details.

Free messages for £4.50/week sounds like a bargain mate, post the link please

your not supposed to click yes on pop-ups when surfing mobile porn ya daft bastard

Hi I have been charge £4 .50 per week that I DID NOT SUBSCRIBE TO with a little help from EE I got the name of the company running the site it's called. BUONGIORNO UK LTD. If you go to customer service on 0800-012-6182. Or 0207-649-9636 and run though the automatic phone service it enables you to cancel the subscription.

  • 1. Reply to any unwanted texts with 'STOP' or 'STOP ALL'
  • 2. Contact your mobile network provider to complain and ask them to add a bar to your phone to stop unwanted premium rate text messages
  • 3. Complain to the premium rate text company responsible. If it is hard to locate the company, you can use the PhonepayPlus Number Checker, which will provide the name and contact details for the company running the service
  • 4. Complain to PhonepayPlus directly - You can call their free helpline on 0300 30 300 20 from 9.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Solved: Re: £4.50 charge for subscription I haven't signed up to - The EE Community

Obviously a scam of some sort, but your network provider has to provide you with the details of the company that has taken the charge - if they can't at least do this, they shouldn't be charging you.

Who charged me?

Has anyone else received similar pop-ups recently while they have been on the forum?

At the risk of sounding naive, how could they have taken anything unless you supplied them with bank or cc details?

OR, if you're on a monthly subscription (with your internet provider) did they take it from there?

They take it directly from your mobile phone account via a premium text message.
