I am very pleased for the lad making a recovery however.
If he was playing yesterday it would have put at least one on the gate!
If and it's a big if , he performed somewhere near his old self, he would do a very good job for the T20 team better batsmen and bowler then Dernbach, even 5 years out of the game.It might not be. He's got himself into the best shape of his life. Those injury niggles might just stop now...
Why not, have half a good T20 season here and then go make loads of cash in the IPL with all the other semi retired former internationals. And film it of course, for another 3 part "Freddie does documentary".
Surprised he didn't do this earlier, he only has to bowl 4 overs, could of done it 2-3 years ago.
